The school began its existence in a rented building with thirty three students in 1980. The very next year the number of students swelled to more than 300. At the same time the school gained in reputation. By 1995 the school was able to build its own school building in Saraswati Nagar. At present the school has two campuses: the Saraswati Nagar St. Anne's School campus with nearly 2800 students and the Rajeev Nagar Prep School campus with over 1200 students. Through the years the school has been able to provide better and better academic facilities. At present the students of the school have the facilities for pursuing any of the following streams : Science / Maths, Science / Biology, Commerce, Arts or Computer Science. St. Anne's School is governed by St. Anne's School Society, a society formed under the Rajasthan Societies Registration Act.

At present, the school consists of two administrative and academic units : St. Anne's School at Saraswati Nagar and less than a kilometer away St. Anne's Prep School  in Rajeev Nagar. Saraswati Nagar and Rajeev Nagar are on the outskirts of the expanding city of Jodhpur. The two campuses have been carefully designed keeping in view the needs of the school. The originally bare lands of the campus have trees growing into stature and large lawns.

The classes from 3 to 12 are in Saraswati Nagar. The principal of St. Annes School is Mrs. Annamma  Abraham. Mrs. Annie Cherian the principal before her passed away on the 22nd May,2004. Her demise was a target loss to the school. She had  worked tirelessly for its development. Mrs. Tessy Joseph is the headmistress of the junior section and monitors the work of 3rd, 4th and 5th classes. Her collaboration and coordination with the principal has ensured the well being of the school.
